We went straight from Lyon to Frankfurt with Eurolines of course. Time was scarce so we couldn't drop in at home once more. Monday afternoon we flew to Lisbon to spend a few days there on our way over to Brazil. Luckily we could stay at Sofías place for the three nights. Sofía is the cousin of a portuguese friend in Hamburg, so we managed to stay there.

Our weird initiary lead us from Lyon back to homely Frankfurt where we finally zipped off to Lisbon. As time was scarce we took the night bus Sunday night and arrived early Monday (Sep. 20) in Frankfurt. Thanks to my good mate Tom, we had a place to rest and got a lovely breakfast.

In Frankfurt we were able to make our last preparations before head off.

The plane made us wait another 2 hours and the airport - very enjoyable with one of the most expensive beers i ever drank (More expansive than L.A. airport i.e.)

This so far to our last breath of Germany - luckily, because I didn't bring any warm clothes.

The first etappe is achieved. I hit Lyon/France this morning, met up with Aziza. I already enjoyed a massive treat in morroccan food thanks to her mam :-)

We'll stay on here till Sunday 17 Sept. an travel directly into Frankfurt to aim for Lisbon/Portugal.

So, I'm glad you can see my entries at Travellerspoint. I had some problems to get my first message on line, but here we go! The address to remeber is:

We're first flying into Salvador and travel along the coastline to Fortaleza. Then we take the plane again to get to Boa Vista/Roraima in the far north of Brazil. That's where our projects will take place. Having finished these our trip will lead us back to Fortaleza on land and water.
